Hi again
Thanks for answering my last question.

Is there any way I can measure a wide angle (or any other Ikelite port) to determine which model it is?

I have one that I think is a #5503.50 but could be a #5503.51 ??

I am looking at buying a Tokina 11-16 or a Tokina 12-24 , they are almost exactly the same dimensions (AFAIK) so does it really matter which lens goes into a 5503.50 or .51?

Thanks again

Col

On the Ikelite web site, we have a link that lists dimensions of our ports.

Please check the following page: Standard SLR Housing Ports. On the last paragraph on the bottom right entitled "Port Identification", click on "end-to-end length" and this should help you identify the port you have.

Rhonda

Thanks Rhonda
I identified my dome port as a 5503.50.
The Canon port chart on your website states that my new Sigma 10-20mm needs a 5503.51 but according to the general port information a 5503.50 will fit all lenses up to 4" long (the sigma is 3.3" long) so I'm guessing I can use the sigma with the 5503.50?!
Thanks again

Length-wise it is fine, but diameter and configuration of the Sigma 10-20mm lens prevents it from being used in the #5503.50 port. The #5503.51 port is slightly larger inside to accommodate this lens.

Also note that even with the #5503.51 port, the lens is too large to accept our zoom clamp and sleeve set. Hence, you must use the lens at a fixed focal length without zoom capabilities when installed in the housing.
