Hi, I'm going to the palladium vallarta resort in few weeks and I would like to know the best dive shop who can bring us the the best boat site arround. My girlfriend and I are certified advance and nitrox padi. A friend of mine would like to take is padi open water while will be there (nice chix too). But we don't have a car. we have all our gear, we only need tanks and weight.

I know the Palladium is in Punta Mita, any good place near the hotel.

is PVscuba is too far from the hotel ? I've read good comments about them.

thanks in advance

Hi,

We're located at Marina Vallarta, about a 30 minute drive from the Palladium (5 minutes south of the airport). A cab to us would cost around $20.

We can accomodate your group's needs and you can be in the same boat even if you don't dive together because of the cert dives (you're welcome to dive together if you wish, otherwise we'll have different guides).

If you wish to contact us directly, please do so at info@pvscuba.com

best regards from Alex and the PVScuba team

Unfortunatelly I did not read your post before, Vallarta Undersea (http://www.vallartaundersea.com/tours.htm)offer trips going out from La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, very near from Palladium, Punta de Mita, San pancho and Sayulita. Check destinations on the web. www.vallartaundersea.com (http://www.vallartaundersea.com)

Cheers.

Thanks otegui, we went diving with Vallarta Advanture. It was too long for those 2 dives. The viz in september is bad max 30'. the water was super warm, 89 degres !!! At the palladium surfin was awsome ! we are going back in december, this time at the marival, the viz should be alot better in december.

the only thing about vallarta is, you have to take a cab for 20 mins, than get in the boat for 1h30 min and finally dive. I wish we could start from the beach at the hotel.

Any diving center at the marival in nuevo vallarta ?

Hi Gaignstar, Vallarta Undersea pick up at Nuevo Vallarta also, very near from your resort. Vallarta Adventures never look for the best conditions because they have not only divers on board, so you have to do out with divers to dive like Vallarta Undersea and can take you out to the best destinations and look for the best viz each day. Go to the web site and take a look. www.vallartaundersea.com (http://www.vallartaundersea.com) and read something about the dive sites around PV there. Get 10% off booking online here.. (http://www.vallartaundersea.com/contact.htm)
This is the Viz at Chimo on last September.

My wife and I are going to PV 11/21-11/25/08. When are you going? We will be staying and diving at the same place, with PVSCUBA. Check them out.

I look forward to hearing a report from each of you as I think PV will be a 2009 destination for me too.

Today Vallarta Undersea (http://www.vallartaundersea.com)are starting the 2nd Trimix course of CCR O2ptima Rebreather, probably you'll find them diving at 160 or 180 ft down around PV all this week.

Yes you are right Gaignstar, water temp on January is around 60 on the bottom and 70 on surface but the viz is geting better on january with cool water, I recomend to wear a 7 mm or 5mm at least when you dive on your vacation Couv.
Now the whales are arriving to the Bay and they are starting to look for cuple is very nice to see them jumping.

This is what you can see on winter on the way out to your favorite dive site in Puerto Vallarta.

Well folks, as promised I have returned to the Land Down Under after a couple of weeks diving the Northern Hemisphere. Had the chance to double dive with "otegui" and crew from Vallarta Undersea, and I can happily say that on my next trip to P.V. I know who I'll be diving with. Very happy, helpful and professional operation; without being stuffy or rude. Other big plus was that including DM and crew, there were only 6 of us on the boat.
Water conditions were great, excellent vis (despite some reports here) and plenty to see. All in all, a great day. Thanks guys for a fabulous experience, will be sure to return.

Thank you for your report Dataquatics; can you suggest any "must see" dive sites in PV?

Hi Couv, the most see dive sites in PV are "Los Arcos, Majahuitas and Marietas (http://www.vallartaundersea.com/tours.htm)Islands" but let me recomend Chimo and Morro, in my opinion Chimo is the Best one and Corbetena is also very good dive spot. cheers.
