Divers Discount and Dive Booty (are they the same?) are offering a new IDI Travel Tec BC.

Does anyone know anything about these BC's? Do they have rear weight pockets, etc.?

From the description of the item (dual tank bands included) it appears to be a soft pack. The 45 pounds of lift seem excessive for a BC aimed at the travel market. I think 30 to 35 pounds are optimum. However, at $229 it might just be a good buy.

I also just stumbled across this BCD while surfing the web. I would REALLY like to hear some informed opinions on this, because the price is certainly right and it has all the features I want at this stage of my diving career.

Even if I didn't like it, I imagine you could get a decent return on eBay...

I am looking for light and cheap BCD with minimam functions.

The price is very good but weight is 6lbs or 2.7Kg.

Please let me know much light one if someone know even no maintenance service provided in Japan.

Product weight = 6lbs, 2.7Kg
Folds to compact = 20x12x3" size
1000 denier (too better for tropical travel)

actual product size unknown M,ML,L ????? so far

hope someone post usability ........
