Custom paint on tanks

I know this is going to sound strange, but I would like to customize my tanks and put a painting on it when I do finally get it. First off, does anyone know if this will damage the tank in any way, safety obviously comes first, and second does anyone know of anyone who could do it. I am not artistic what so ever.

I believe there are a couple of relatively recent threads on this in the archives. Not trying to be snobbish; just helpful.

Definitely avoid applications involving heat, IIRC.
