Since there are so many of our friends and dive buddies living in the path where Gustav will make landfall, I have started a new thread for everyone to post that they are ok. If you had to evacuate, it's a good place to let your friends know where you are and that you are ok.

God bless and keep all of you safe!

Tornado warning was just issued for Jefferson and Lafourche. Looks like the first feeder bands are moving in to Orleans, Jefferson and the northshore.

I did not evacuate. I will keep you posted as long as I have power.

Thoughts and prayers to all! We lucked out this time around, but will be watching and praying for all our friends!

Eyewall is due over us tomorrow afternoon. Probably will be without power for a few hrs until the generator is cranked up after the rainfall slows down...Will check in again when we are back up and running

Keep checking in y'all as long as you can. I feel helpless over here to help y'all, but if I can contact family, etc, please pm me.

Riding it out at my daughters home in Gonzales which is about the same as staying home in LaPlace. It will be a rough 24 hours.

My parents live in Gonzales at the Greens. They evacuated to Atlanta to my brother's house yesterday. That is my outlet if things get too bad here. Good luck over there.
