DocIndyDiver August 30th, 2008, 10:03 PM My sincerest condolences to family, friends and fiance. What were conditions like? It's Saturday and up here in Cocoa Beach the ocean is mean & nasty. We're pinned between Gustav and Hanna. Bob August 30th, 2008, 10:15 PM Bad news Indeed. :( I hate to hear this. My thoughts with family, friends and all involved. LIVES4SHARKS August 31st, 2008, 01:43 AM I am so sorry to hear we lost another member of our dive community. God bless her friends and family. Descent Oh, I have shrugged off the noise and calamity of modern day and floated through the depths on bubble-glistening fins. Downward I have drifted and joined the ebb and flow of wind-driven currents, and done a thousand things you would never have dreamed of. Dipping and swooping deep in the limpid pools of silent seas, Floating…. Drifting…. I've chased shimmering schools of fish, laughed through coral-carpeted canyons, and eased my rubber-covered body through the floorless oceans of blue. Deeper and deeper into the bone-chilling depths I've descended to the sand covered bottom of the universe, with peaceful reserve, where sunshine nor rain have ever danced. And…. While with silent questioning mind, I've slipped through the blue un-trespassed serenity of the heavenly sea, Raised up my face and felt the cool embrace of God Carolyn:sharks: Walter August 31st, 2008, 09:15 AM Eve Schwartz went diving on Friday. She didn't come back. On Saturday, divers found her body. We do not know what went wrong. I didn't know Eve, but at least one of our members, deepstops, did. My sincere sympathy to all of her family and friends.

Jerry (aka Carp Diver) Edit/Delete Message Scubakevdm September 1st, 2008, 08:15 AM I didn't know Eve well, but I have been diving with her a few times. She was very nice, and a great diver. I'm sorry to see her go so soon. T. Brooks September 1st, 2008, 05:22 PM My deepest sympathies to Brian, her friends, family and fiancee. Tony Johnoly September 2nd, 2008, 07:00 PM Eve was one very classy lady. I dove with her about a half dozen times in Jupiter and she was great. While the rest of us were zig-zagging all over the reef for bugs, she would take her time and pull up 2 of the uncommon shovel nose lobsters. She was quick with a smile and warm with sincerity among the trash talking men spearo’s on the boat. Sharks didn’t spook her, she’d chase them down to get a better photo. We’ll miss you Eve and you’ll forever be in our hearts and minds! Johnoly seaangel September 2nd, 2008, 07:54 PM I didn't know Eve. But, from what I am reading here she sounded like my kind of woman. I hope that her fate was not one of a careless mistake, it hardly seems from what I have read that she would be careless. I was diving off WPB Saturday, the waters were very angry. I made only one dive and that was enough to tell me to stay on solid land for the rest of the weekend. Some of the others in my dive group made the second tank and then went back for the night dive. Because of the seas, and incoming storm they were only able to do a twilite dive. We had alot of seasick divers Saturday, and in my group six of us got separated from the Divemaster. Fortunately, we were capable of keeping the six of us together and we had our safety sausages deployed when we surfaced. I can only imagine how it would have felt should it of just been me alone and separated. I am so glad that my buddies are always on the look out for each other. My prayers go out to all that did know and love Eve. SeaAngel mrlipis September 3rd, 2008, 12:14 PM Was wondering if anyone had a picture of Eve that they could post. I dove with a woman a few months back out of Jupiter. Her name was Eve and she was a Physical Therapist. Just curious if this is the same woman. My condolences to her friends and family. Eve was in the medical profession as an ER nurse, not a physical therapist. We're going to miss her. Glada September 5th, 2008, 11:22 PM Sincere Condolences to her family and friends.
callinvin September 6th, 2008, 10:18 AM I worked with Eve when she was a flight nurse in eastern NC. What a wonderful person she was and what a loss to this world, My sincere sympathies to all who knew her. fox1girl September 7th, 2008, 12:42 AM I also worked with Eve and became friends with her in NC. She loved flight nursing, but she loved the sea more. She left us at EastCare because she missed the Florida dives. We kept in touch, as she would leave "Meows" on my answering machine. I am sorry for everyone that knew her. She was a good person. cassaga September 10th, 2008, 05:06 PM i worked with Eve in the ER at Mariner's Hospial in the Keys from 1993 (for about 10 years) until she left to be a flight nurse in NC...i've been an ER doc for a hundred years (it feels like it anyway) and i've worked with hundreds of nurses...Eve was one of the best, along with her buddies the General (Cathy), Susan, Sister, Jeri, Candace, Donnalee, Liz, TNTC....we were colleagues, but we were also good friends...the world has lost a wonderful woman too soon...my condolences to Quinn and Eva's family and kitties...i'm sure gonna miss ya, chica.... luvu, Shirley Cassada, HSG, MS, MD, FACEP (Eve & Cathy would understand this and laugh)
