Hi,

We dove the Bass this past Saturday. The weather was kind of weird but we got a nice window in the morning. I do not have my computer log but will say it was warm. The vis around 15 or so !

I will let my friend RIO to go over the details.

This is the video for your enjoyment...

great job with the video Ed!!! It gave a really good perspective of the props and the tower. Was really surprised to see the endless schools of hake hanging around the stern when we got down there. Nice job catching the glimpses of the ravens too, I probably swam right over them. And was that a dog fish I saw in the distance!! I had 57 deg, and a run time of 44 mins. Sure glad the rain washed everything off for us on the way in!

So jealous....planned to get down there this year but with fuel prices I was looking at $800 just in gas. The warm temps must have been nice for deco.

It was a great dive, we snuck in for the morning weather window. Ed and I splashed first, followed by Matt and Brian. Matt missed our first run out there so it was nice that he made it this time. Earl stayed topside and watched the boat. I feel bad that he didn't get to dive.

I did a 20 min bottom time, 44 min total run. Max depth 154 with a temp of 52.

Unfortunately my wing was damaged on the ride home. On the bright side Red at Giant Stride gave me a good price on a new Dive Rite Rec Wing

Are you guys using trimix and doubles for this dive? Rebreathers?

Nah, I used 24% in my double 72's. Plenty of gas left with a 44min runtime.

I had a blast, best dive for me this year.

It would have been better if Earl had hit the water as well :(

Well, with the weather coming in I felt more comfortable staying topside....
 ...since I did go the last time, I was not too disappointed... Glad u all had a super dive! It's an awesome sight!!

Brian and I both dove double 100s, Matt had double 72s and Ed had double 120s. All of us were using either nitrox or air for a bottom mix. I also used 40% for my deco.
