I am planning to go into videography and are planning to buy a sony dc dvd 810 with the top dawg housing. But without the monitor back. ( bec. I am saving a little on my spending, since this is my first time to go into videography) Does anyone have this set up ? Can anyone comment on this DC dvd 810. or is the Dvd910 a better unit . With out the monitor back can viewing the port still be easy? One of the reson that I like using the disc, bec. there are times that my computer breaks down bec. of viruses. And I am afraid of losing my videos.so with the disc I can store everything and just put it in a safe place for future viewing.
My freind suggested that I go for the tape, DCR Hc62 any comments on this ? Is the tape better than the disc in video quality?
