Does anyone know if you can clear the logs (dive history) on a Suunto Gekko? I admit that I have only scanned the user guide and havent found anything indicating that you can. I purchased a slightly used computer and would like to clear the history.

Thanks in advance!

Well Mine did for no apparent reason once, it happened at the new year

Perhaps I should look into that, maybe the thing is malfunctioning, however its done nearly 300 dives since then without a hitch?

There is a tool on this website to erase the dive data in suunto computers.
I guess this link was once provided on Scubaboard, if I'm not mistaken.
I hope it helps, I did not try it though :D

As far as I know most dive computers WILL NOT clear the memory if the battery is removed. Maybe I'm wrong though

I'll second that.
The computers I used like suunto stinger, mosquito, and aladin air2 keeps their log when their battery is changed. Plus, mine (d9) kept all the log, as well, when the battery was changed last year.
By the way Hdugan, as you tried it now I can give a run to mine as well :D
I never needed to erase the logs though.
