We arrived at Wilkes-Barre at 9 AM. Dropped a grapple on the stern & missed......it drifted to the bow within seconds and hung on it.

We dropped 20 lbs of lead down on a line down about 10 feet and it was out at a 45 degree angle. We estimate the current was about 2 knots, due east The water was a murky looking green too.

Tried to pull the grapple and the 300 feet of line attatched and had no joy. It is hooked to the bow somewhere with a float ball that was immediately sucked under beyond sight after we released it from the boat.

So this full moon has screwed up our day -- no dive--no anchor/line.

We will try again Tuesday....

Sorry to hear that Capt Jim.There is usually a good clip there.Hope you were able to salvage the day.I know that's a good ride for ya'll.

Its only a 30 minute trip out there for us...we tried again today (wednesday) and had the same ripping current.

Trying again tomorrow.
