Panay (Iloilo) my next PI destination?

Hello all you PI divers....

Looks like my next visit (2009) will be to Iloilo. Can anybody give me the scoop on local diving there...besides Boracay?

I just came from there and was diving on the southwest tip of Panay, province of Anitque (Iloilo has no real good diving) in a town called Anani'i. There is a little island off shore there called Nogas and it has very good diving. There's a wall on the west side of it and lots of coral mounds, deep and shallow. Lots of fish and healthy coral. It's a 2 hour drive from Iloilo City.
Two of my friends have opened a resort there and I started diving there in 1995 or so. They now have a nice house with two airconditioned rooms, or, you can sleep outside in the breeze. No bugs bothered us at all. Showers, flushing toilets, great food.

It's laid back, dive how you want, relax. Unreal. A couple resorts in Boracay are arranging to bring divers down now. YOu also are pretty close to Piedra Blanca and other offshore spots.

ok, so I've been reading up a little on the diving in Anitque and im not too sure if it's something im gonna have the $$ for or the time. But, here's a crazy plan i've come up with and im wondering if its do-able and im open for other suggestions. I will be traveling with my fiance' and her 2 children.

My next trip will involve going to a town in the center part of Panay Island. My great idea is this...take bus to Batangas, dive/stay in Anilao for a couple days. Boat to Puerto Galera and take bus to southern Mindoro. Hopefully there's some ferry to Panay(Caticlan?) from one of the cities in southern Mindoro? Bus to central part of the island, city is Bingawan. Reverse the trip back, dive in PG.

Things i dont know...bus service to southern Mindoro? Ferry to Caticlan? Bus to Bingawan? Are these realistic expectations? Does anybody have experience with this travel route?
