Ran across a cave diver that had what he called a scavenger. Said it was used to boost pressure from one tank to another. Anyone have info on these?

Was it just a hose which would connect to each tank? Possibly with a guage? If so, that's called a transfill whip.

He was probably talking about a Haskel which allows you to take a gas at low pressure and boost it to a higher pressure.

That was probably it. Did not see it, he had it in his trailer. But it made alternating sounds of pressurizing gas. He really had a nice setup. And yes rebreathers.

The alternating sound is a Haskel.
