this may be a simple question for you but...
I purchased an Akona AK200 SideKick knife today and was told it was designed to mount on to my BC (a new Sherwood Avid XL). I see some straps...but not having any luck turning the "screws" to release the clips so I can insert the straps through the slots on the knife case. As it happens, it appears that there's no way that the strap would fit into one of the slots on the knife case.
Such a simple thing...I can pull apart a computer, a vcr, or most other electronics but I can't seem to figure this out?

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

I bought the Akona pro kit for my Avids. If you look at the two clips on the left-hand side (when wearing it) just below the pocket and above the weight pouch, one side of the clip attachment should be slotted. Mine were stiff, but they did come loose with a bit of effort.

thanks for replying...I was playing with those clips...it appears that they have slotted screws on both sides....do you "unscrew" them or is there some other way? I've been trying to unscrew them with no luck.

I had the same problem. They unscrewed to a point but then I just used the screwdriver blade to pop them out.

They do unscrew. They are a little tough and I know a lot of people that once they unscrew it a bit they just pull the pin out the rest of the way. Once they are out, slide the two tabs through the slots on the sheath. The slots on the sheath are different sizes as are the tabs, so make sure you are matching them up. The opening of the sheat faces toward the back of the BC. That way the knife handle is facing away from your belly. Once you have them in, reinstall the post pins back in.
