Malapascua - Here I come

Hey, I'll from Singapore and will be visiting Malapascua around 10th of Dec. I'll be staying 2-3 days doing my AOW. I'll be alone as my most of my friends can't make it. Anyone is/will be there during that period?

After Malapascua, I'll be going to Cebu City for 1 -2 days for some shopping and casino.

Hope to make some friends! Cheer!

You will get more interest/takers if you introduce yourself and give your dive history etc.....just a thought.

That's great! Oh btw, if u dun have your own gear, Exotic's are pretty decent, some even look quite new (observation fr Aug 07)

Really should go there more often, especially when I realised (again), how inexpensive the Cebu Pacific's airfare is! Bought during May's 0P promo, the return airfare, fr S'pore including all taxes is less than US$100. :blinking: That is what I call a budget airline!

Hello! I m back to work (of course, most reluctantly)!
Was raining on the first couple of days & we had lovely weather from 9 Dec.
5 mornings of early rising - caught glimpses of 2 thresher sharks on 11 Dec & FINALLY on 12 Dec (our last dive), we had wonderful time watching the 2 thresher sharks for at least 5mins (I've got videos!). Glimpse of a manta. Several devil rays. & during a night dive at Lighthouse, a blue-ring octopus! I love Malapascua!
Quick observations: Malapascua has been spruced up, especially the village! The paths looked swept (maybe it is for the holidays?)... The food at Exotic is still great but to me, it has gone "upmarket". ;-) There are more sea urchins, noticeably more in Gato... Peak season is really busy (6-10+ divers on a night dive?!), the next time, we will return during off-peak. The X'mas atmosphere at Cebu is very nice!
This is a busy week at work, hopefully, will be able to complete photos, videos & blog by next week...
