Ikelite DS125 battery refit

Hi All,

I recently joined SB and dont know if this question has been answered.

Is there a way of changing my several Nicad DS125 batteries to NiMH? Like can the Nicads be sent back or NiMH battery sent out by Ikelite?

Also is there development for Ion batteries for Ikelite strobes? Since everything else these days is Ion (dont want to buy more NiMH if Ion is coming out).

We have a reduced exchange price from NiCad to NiMH when older battery packs are returned to the factory. This may also require a charger exchange so check this link to see if you have the correct charger to use with the newer packs: Substrobe Chargers FAQ

Since you are in Australia, it's probably not logical to return them to the States for exchange. You can check with our Australian distributor, Cape Byron Imports (phone 61-266-857185), for their exchange pricing. Or you can simply purchase new battery packs #4066.5 and, if necessary, charger #4066.1.

We have no current plans to offer Lithium ion packs for our strobes.
