If all goes as planned I'll be leaving for Bali this week and staying in Tulamben. What's the weather and diving like this time of year.

My plan is to stay for a week or so and then travel over to North Sulawesi for some diving.

Should I be considering other diving spots in Asia to go to this time of year? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and Happy Holidays to all.

I've been there November few years ago and just passing October two months ago.
I had amazing visibility underwater and the water temperature was pleasantly warm. The diving was great too. from what I heard this time of the year there might be some changing on the tide, which affect the way of entry, but the diving should be still alright.

If you enjoy macro and photography and wreck, you will love it there.

When you go to Menado (you mean Menado right?), you can consider paying a visit to Lembeh Strait also, it's muck diving. Not exactly diving in the mud, it's more like diving in sandy area where you can look for bizarre underwater lives, it's one of the best macro diving site in the world.
Bunaken is also a must visit for its beautiful reef and wall.

Hope that helps. (hey, I look at the date and you might be there already.. Oh well..)

Cheers,
Ice
