Hi,

I have Sherwood Blizzard regs, but my octo is a Brut. In cold water, will the Brut be significantly more likely than the primary to freeflow? To what extent will the the Blizzard first stage prevent a freeflow from both second stages?

Thanks

Soggy Diver,

The issue is not with the 1st stage. The issue is with the 2nd stage. The Brut 2nd stage is a great unit for everyday diving, but not necessarily for ice diving. That is not it's intended use. It is not equipped with certain components, such as teflon coated o-rings, to with stand the colder waters. I would reccomend you find another Blizzard 2nd stage, to use as your octo. You will most likely eliminate your issues.
