Here we were enjoying the warming weather with it actually reaching 17C on a couple of days.... then this morning snow!
Not that it's going to stop me (and a whole lot of others) from going diving, but it's a wee bit depressing.
(just a wee vent as I keep seeing the white stuff fall)

Bummer.
Don't be too depressed, it will be gone soon enough and things will warm up and be nice and Spring like.
Just one more cleansing of the land before the new sprouts and flowers arrive.

I know how you feel DG....but take heart....the ice did leave Crowe Lake on the weekend....which means that Butch's boat will soon be in the water...:D

I'm choosing to deny what my eyes are seeing - I'm just having a bad dream.
So Diving Gal where are you diving this weekend?
I tried out my new drysuit in open water yesterday and I loved it. I was surprisingly comfortable and wonderfully dry and warm after the dive. The water was 4 C/39 F and only my face and hands were cold - YES !!! I really enjoyed putting a little hit of warm air in the suit - makes it very cozy.
I was sorry to have missed the Easter weekend diving but I needed to check-out the drysuit first. I heard from Joe Diver that it was a blast.
I hope to do some diving with you soon.
Have a great day and just don't look outside.

the snow didn't make it down here. It's still hot and muggy! :tease: I think I had better get wet to cool off.

you were such a nice fellow. That's it, we're all moving to your place!:tease:
I still say, you have to come for a visit and try out some diving in some of the best playgrounds going!

I'll even be nice -- suggest you not come until August or September when you have the best shot at having water "warm up" to oh... around.... 70F?

I think we should find the eager beaver scientist who inveted global warming and make him go on an ice dive in a 3mm shorty..
Enough already with the cold stuff.. We are skipping one of my favourite seasons.. Spring.. Besides.. Its slowing me down.. I can't get my boat in the water.. Its not an icebreaker..

I woke up this morning and my life was so sad. One its snowing and two Colorado lost last night. :(
So I decided I was going to move to the Florida Keys. Anyone with me? We could open a big divers Condo complex and all live down there. I thought it was a great idea.

Great Idea..
But why the Keys? I'd suggest Bimini... You can go free diving for lobsters there :) Woohoo.. And its less crowded...

If you drive up you're welcome to stay over here! I'll even feed ya!
We had a couple of GORGEOUS days then it frosted! Around here our plants are supposed to be safe as long as we don't plant before Good Friday--what's with the frost?! My plants ended up spending the night on the porch.
We're planning to go water skiing Saturday with Bruce's sister when she comes down to pick up her boat. At this rate I might need my 7mm instead of my 3mm--BRRRR! Although since I'm going to see if she can help my with my slalom skiing the wrecks would be less painful in the 7mm :D I drew blood the last time I tried to slalom!

Diving Gal,
the white stuff was here all day on Oneida Lake as well. My dive buddy,Kevin, and I invited Pete up also, I'd even loan him my wetsuit for the river as his 3mm shorty might be a little nippy.

It still doesn't count.... Forget about coming here in the summer. You need to come when the white stuff is a few feet deep, more coming down with the freezing rain on the way.
Nahhh, then we'd have a frozen Flobobwhite on our hands, which I suspect would have as much fun as the last flamingo that came for a visit in the winter (yes it happened a few years back!)

The bird had "escaped" from a sanctuary in the US (someone forgot to clip it's wings). As it was cold (November), and it was originally from Chile, apparently it thought "ah I need to migrate north to a warmer climate" ... so it flew north to Canada. It took a few weeks to capture it, then we shipped it back.

you deported a poor flamingo? What on earth was it's crime? Will Canada be that unfriendly to Florida Bobwhites??? We look almost the same but the Florida Bobwhites are far superior. Maybe it's a pink thing? :tease:

more like sending it home so the poor Pink flamingo wouldn't become a Blue famingo :cold:!

With the recent cold spell the poor bird would turn into a pink flamingosicle... And with those long legs it'd look just like a popsicle.... :D
