Mona is the third largest island of Puerto Rico, after the main island of Puerto Rico and Vieques. It is the largest of three islands located in the Mona Passage, a strait between the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, the others being Monito Island and Desecheo Island. It measures 7 miles by 4 miles, and lies 41 miles west of Puerto Rico.
Due to the islands' unique topography, ecology and location, Mona, Desecheo and Monito have been nicknamed "The Galapagos Islands of The Caribbean". The island of Mona is remote and the diving is still pristine. There are no other liveaboards operating to Mona.
The Juliet is a first class 104 foot sailing liveaboard, very stable, very roomy. With only 12 passengers there is plenty of room to spread out. Juliet features six staterooms with air-conditioning, a sink, and ample closet space. The diver has a locker, and access to the deck shower, wash buckets, and one of the easiest dive ladders in the industry. Juliet includes three toilets, three showers, all linens, and ample storage space.
Divers can select air or nitrox (extra fee) to increase your bottom time at this unique site.
Cost: $1490 USD includes tanks, weights, meals, full bar, and cabin accommodations.
