NC diving

I will be in Belhaven, NC soon and I am wondering if there are any dive sites close to the area.

Belhaven, you are in the sticks there, pretty counrty however. Morehead City or Cape Hatteras are your best bets. Either place is about a 2-3 hr ride. Given the choice, for diving only I would go to Morehead (or if others in the party would like to shop/tour while you are out diving), if I wanted to fish as well, then Cape Hatteras. Also, I suspect the water will be a bit warmer at Morehead than at CH, you get more into the Gulf Stream there than farther up the coast.

If you're going to Cape Hatteras the webpage is WWW.OUTERBANKSDIVING.COM on Morehead just do a search for it. There are 2 or 3 operations there. A lot of people prefer Olympus. They are a good outfit.
