Hello,

I'm buying a glove system and trying to figure out if the older model is different enough from the newer model in the SI TECH line.

Its about a $30 difference for me which seems minimal. But if you tell me there is NO difference, why spend the $30?

thanks.

The current version has a release ring that is much easier to grip than the older version.

I'd recommend the current version, which sometimes goes for under $90, brand-new and complete, on eBay. (Paid $80, including shipping, for mine.... :D)

What prices are you seeing?

Image of current model follows.

i am seeing $150 ... and not a penny less for SI tec ... even on ebay the best i saw was $85 plus shipping of $15 so $100 total for last years older style ...

Can you post a pic of the newer style you're talking about?

Maybe the bayonet style is being sold under SI TECH's own name now....

EDIT: Nevermind, I see the "Glove Lock" model they released a couple years ago. Can't help you with that one.

Here's a ScubaBoard thread on the new model:

Additional EDIT: The other current, but older, model is called the Quick Glove System.
