Do you see me with one of those things??! Any pictures with me risking my life on one of those death bags in any of my photos?? And exactly what do you see me wearing in my avatar picture, huh?? That is an OPEN CIRCUIT rig.

I've been GUE trained ya know.

Look, just because someone posted something somewhere on another forum... I mean, anyone can sign up using my name and post anything they like! There is no proof. The internet is a fiction machine.

So, all you gossip mongers, rumor propagators, and wizards of untruth can just keep your traps shut!

Oh, and BTW, I got a good lead on an Inspo yesterday with Hammerhead electronics at a good price. I'd fly it mCCR of course...

Yes!!!!!!!! And I have this feeling that prices are not going to get better.

Figuring the cost of the CCR, training, upgrades, cat litter, I should break even on HE cost in the year 2230. :D

I made the switch to my Inspiration RB a year ago. Just love diving it, as a long time OC diver the learning curve was steeper then I would of thought. But worth the effort, and I would never go back.
Cost can be on the high side, no doubt about it. For the first six months or so, seemed there was always something else I just had to have. Still don't have everything, but things like a booster can wait for the time being.
I do my own fills at home, still Helium's not cheap. This is one place the RB really shines. I dive 10/50 for most everything, 1500-1600psi of He in my dil bottle top up with air and wallah 10/50.
I just checked fill express website and the charge $7.50 for a dil fill. What would a set of 95's pumped to 3000 be?
May never be able to off set the start up cost, but helps a little in justifying the move.

I think the cave fill I got there last year, for 16/45 was something like $68.00. Not to mention the deco bottles...

Ok. What piece of kit is 78.8 lbs? Meg? That being said - What CCR product is delivered out of the diving Mecca of North Salt Lake, Utah?

If you look, you'll see the shipment originated in New York. Salt Lake is just a stop along the way.

It's an Inspo Classic. It will come without, but I will add, a BOV. It is coming sans the HH electronics, which are being deverted to Kevin for the latest upgrade.

Well, then please warn my of whatever pitfalls you run into! :D

You will be happy with the electronics. My Optima has the Hammerhead units, and they have served me well. Just finished four days of CCR Hammerhead powered cave diving in the Abacos (Optima, Hammerhead CCR, and HammerMeg), and we had a great time.

Enjoy!

Sorry Rick...training is not for another couple weeks...but I think I've dismantled it a couple two tree times already. Hopefully my travel frame gets here before then....that would be nice.

Right on! Thanks for clarifying a simple shipping label too. Seeing stuff at 4:00 am probably wasn't optimal! :D If you have any questions related to the Classic Inspiration please feel free to ask. In fact, we were using them on a major penetration on a wreck you know well - The Jodrey.

Cheers,

X

p.s. if you want that video please feel free to PM me.

I have until late MAY before my class. :shakehead:

What kind of travel frame did you get? I'd like to get rid of the yellow case for sure. Do you have a BOV (I'm ordering one)?

But does the world know who Rick Inman is???
I'm no one. It was an inside joke for a post I made on RBW.

I got the SDS Travel Frame..kind of on the pricey side, but looks sharp. I dont mind the yellow case, but for traveling on a plane...meh.

Yes, have the BOV..it's sharp. I think the GCS system makes sense for this as well.

I'll let you know how my training goes....im extremely excited and nervous...but it's a good nervous. :D

before you waste your money on a GCS system do some searches on RBW.. There are better alternatives...

Thanks for the heads up, but the money has been wasted already and it's in my room.
