I just received an email from Undersea Explorer announcing that they are ceasing ops immediately "due to the global economic climate". Further they say that they are "in the process of transferring or refunding all forward bookings".

I'm sorry to see her go, but I certain that she's not the last.

They sailed out of Port Douglas, QLD, Oz. I never took this trip, but from that I've read, it was an excellent op.

I just checked their web site and there is no mention of this, but the email I received appears to be genuine. I've been on their email list for a while as I'm planning an GBR trip this year or next.
