New Housing latch has rust

Hi Jean.

My New D90 housing is about a month old and I noticed that one of the rear door latches has alot of rust forming. I presumed that the latches are made of a decent Stainless as my other housings have never showed anything like this?

There can be random inconsistencies in the passivation process which may allow one of the lidsnaps to develop a little rust prematurely. It's a bit unsightly but won't affect the operation of the housing.

If you contact your local distributor Cape Byron Imports (ikelite@capebyronimports.com.au) they can get you a replacement lidsnap hook.
