Oceanic and AERIS Unveil Diver Referral Program
$50 store credit for existing divers AND new divers can help retailers build their business AND fight economic ÅÃad news
Oceanic and AERIS have announced a new program in the United States that is designed to encourage positive word of mouth about scuba diving AND help stimulate sales in these challenging times. Developed in conjunction with key retailers across the country, the new Diver Referral Program begins this week and will continue through August 31, 2009.
According to Dan Emke, Oceanic President, "Our retailers asked us to help and we responded; it's as simple as that. Everyone is feeling the crunch right now and this program helps retailers on multiple levels. First, it provides an incentive for divers to encourage or refer their friends to the stores to get certified. Second, it encourages equipment sales by providing a $50 credit for both the referring diver AND the new diver when buying their basic gear for their open water class."
Emke points out that several retailers involved in the pilot program have seen immediate results and more are sure to follow. "I signed up three new students the first weekend and had more inquiries to follow up on. This program is a winner", said Mike Brandow of New England Divers.
With the impressive new products that the companies are scheduled to unveil this year, and this coordinated effort to encourage new divers to come into retail stores, Oceanic and AERIS are working diligently to serve its dealers in 2009 and beyond.
