My regular dive operator is advising me against the Bahamas in November due to the chances of strong winds, and am now considering the Turks and Caicos instead (from brief research it sounds better anyway!).

Can anyone enlighten me as to the expected conditions for Nov-Dev, and if anyone has experience of the Beaches resort on Provo (particularly in relation to the dive ops) that would be really useful too as the all inc option including diving sounds pretty good.

Thanks alot guys.

I was on the Aggressor boat for Thanksgiving week last year and had good weather. It was in the low 80's in the water. We did get some rain, but it didn't stop our diving... We did get our fair share of sun too though...

David D,

November is the very tail end of the hurricane season in the Caribbean. The winds around both the Bahamas and the T&C will be about the same in all likelyhood.

You can look up the weather history at the following site: http://www.usatoday.com/weather/basemaps/foreign/carib/wfbah.html.

There will, at that time of year, be a correlation between precip and wind. Precip drops off in November and so do high winds. That being said, we have been in the Carib that time of year and felt the lingering effects of a hurricane.

I realize that this is a "non-answer" answer, but weather is weather!

David D ...

I was taking a look at your thumnail gallery and notice all the links to the actual photos were broken ... With a little snooping I realized what you had done wrong ... The links themself are in 1/2 CAPS and 1/2 lowercase but the actual photo names are all in lowercase. All you have to do is lowercase the links too and they will all work perfectly. For example, ../RAY.jpg should be ../ray.jpg and they will be fixed. Hope this helps ...

=-)

Thanks!

I forgot about the gallery when I fixed everything else. I'll have to get round to fixing that as well I guess.

...changed mind again with trip, look like we're giving the Caymans a try!
