long weekend in ontario!!!

Hi everyone
The long weekend is coming upon us and for some it is the start of the season. What is everyone doing this fine holiday????:)

Well, I am working and then checking my gear for my OW's next weekend. I am buying a trampoline and going to the race track sometime as well. Maybe cleaning the house. I usually don't plan that far ahead. And how about you? Oh by the way, welcome aboard. :)

I promised my boys a trampoline when I got my taxes back. I am going to a bike race track. My mother is helping with it. And why am I cleaning my house? Who knows!!!!! LOL :)

I will be in the water or on the trampoline with the boys. Last time we went roller blading and played ball. Yes I am an active little momma. :) The boys can't keep up with me. Who wants to come and play on the trampoline? Fun WOW :D

I'll be getting "Vicki Marie" in the water and ready for the season.
I should have had her in sooner but Transport Canada can't do the finale inspection until Monday.

Few of us are goin campin and divin up in Toby.....if the campsites aren't full. Sure hope my drysuit is in before then:wacko:

I will be diving!!!..Don't know where yet, probably the mighty Crowe Lake.........Boat should be in long by then.

I wonder just how many anchors there are left in the Crowe??? Burleigh might be a nice option too Butch.

That is a possibility! I think we have probably gathered up all the lost anchors anyway. Only trouble with Burleigh is that the fishing opens up there on the long weekend.

I do however have to go back to Burleigh to do some more mapping.....Have to check with the social director and see what is on the sched..

SAILING!!! Maybe some diving (water temps on Georgian Bay are still cold ;-0 ). Our sail boat was lifted in Tuesday and I went up yesterday and stepped the mast, out the sails on, did some maintenance (thanks to Boogie711 for helping) and even managed a short sail. That first sail of the season is kinda like that first dive of the season (which was May 4) when you suddenly realize why you do all the work and preparation and suddenly all is right with the world.
Good luck to those doing their OW dives. Would be interested in knowing where, current water temps and vis.

Going canoeing up in Algonquin for 3 days. Hopefully we won't have to do any search-type dives... "You dumped the canoe and all the gear went to the bottom in _HOW_ deep water"???

Diving would have been nice too though. *sigh* Too many hobbies, not enough weekends.

What kind of water temps are you 'southern' folks getting in your lakes and rivers right now? Temps here are still fluctuating quite a bit, like the 38 degs we had on the weekend....

I went diving in Kingston on the weekend and the water was 40 -43 , too cold in my wetsuit. I must go dry sooner than later...

I've thought of Tobe but I'm guessing it's real cold (anyone been up there yet).

Also thought of Kingston, do they have walk on's there, I heard that you can't just walk on a charter there.

Also thought of Sarnia, and do some drift diving.

It's too early for most of my dive friends (except of quarries), but I'm ready and willing to go about anywhere.

:) If you try Knigston, the wrecks are really awesome. and after the rain we have had here in Pembroke all week , the weather should be gorgeous.
