:cool3: The Corps have been a target of much local criticism (some say deserved, others state that they are just following the regulatory requirements imposed upon them) regarding the lake levels at Lake Thurmond. Regardless, this weekend they got it right. With all the rain and local streams below the dam nearing flood stage, they discontinued water flow from the Dam. This is the first time in my recollection that this has occurred. The streams downstream of the dam had more than enough flow to support the river (in fact from my observations the river seem higher than normal) . The outcome, was about a 5' gain in water level in this large lake just a few days. We still have a ways to go to full pool, but this is a great start.

I'll check out the underwater result of this Sat. This much rise in a short time may mean low vis, but at least our popular dive sites will be at depth rather than altitude:D
