Hey, folks...

Given the type of diving I'm doing, and just my overall comfort level, I have come to the conclusion that the BP/W setup is just not for me at this time. I will eventually purchase a jacket style BCD, but for now I am putting my DSS plate steel plate, basic harness, and 30lb single wing up for sale. Original price was $445. Used for a total of about 10 dives. PM me if interested.

Just my opinion, but I'd give it more time before selling the BP/W setup. You'd be surprised how much your comfort level will increase if you get an ABS or aluminum BP, and then add some XS Scuba weight pockets to your harness belt and cam bands. Some new divers prefer a lighter setup with the option of having more ditchable weight. Of course, opinions will vary greatly on this subject.

The shape of the wing will also affect your comfort level, so you may want to take a look at the Oxycheq Mach V 30 lb. wing. However, since you already have the DSS, I believe you should dive it some more before giving up on the BP/W.

I know you didn't ask for opinions here and you are simply to trying to make a sale, but I've been through some of the same things you're experiencing now.

Good luck!

A SS plate and 30 lbs wing can be successfully used in a wide range of conditions.

Might be a "setup" issue. I'd be happy to talk to you if you wish.
