We have a spearfishing trip going to Bocas Del Toro Panama in October. I was there in 2006 and it was unreal. Pretty much everything is open to harvest down there-jewfish, conch, you name it. We're gonna dive some open water pinnacles and rock piles for a few days and then go to an out-island. Got an American captain who has been living down there for 20 years and has sick numbers. check out Extreme Dive Adventures for more info.
