Just got an azimuth and am wondering if anybody has taken the harness off and replaced it with a transpac or backplate? I'm 6'3" 280 and the XL harness just barely fits.... any help would be appreciated

It largeley depends how the original wing and harness are mounted. If they're bolted on, with 11in. between them, then that's standard spacing. You might have to stick with the stock wing as the box wraps around it and might interfere with the inflator hose. Another problem you'll have to figure out is how to route and attach the hoses and dosing/switchblock. On the Transpack you should be able to find a way to do so without twists and kinks or anything coming off. If you do, post a pic, and/or pass one on to http://www.therebreathersite.nl wkmiller May 20th, 2003, 03:06 PM This is what I did... Kept the original BCD Bladder (as it's wide and fits w/o interference). I then wrapped a harness webbing thru the shell. You'll find that after you put on the harness the breathing resistance will be MUCH better as the stock harness causes the system to ride to high on your back. By the way - where did you get your training?
