Red Sea Last 2 weeks in October

Hi all

I have never been to the Red Sea but everyone tells me how good it is. I have a few questions to ask (no doubt some have already been answered before - sorry)

I've got the last two weeks in October off work. What are the weather and diving conditions like in Sharm at that time of year?

I don't have to stay at Sharm. If anyone wants to recommend anywhere else by the Red Sea, please don't be shy.

What I intend to do is get a package deal of a flight and hotel.

I'll need to rent gear while I'm out there and I doubt I'll have a car.

I'll also be looking for a buddy as well.
