my wife and daughter want to fly to singapore while i'm there on biz...

we've never booked with an online travel before and would like some recos, warnings or advise about it

we're looking for a great deal at the elizabeth hotel in singapore

Also try Expedia http://www.expedia.com/ for ease of use

and Online hotel reservations, bookings by FastBooking who we have found to give best prices for hotels in in SE Asia.

Sorry for 3rd post - looking at our receipts for Singapore,

Last time we stayed in Hotel 1929. Rooms small for the money (sums up Singapore).

However, rooms modern and good location.

Good for a few nights - got a small jacuzzi on the roof.

Again, excellent central location.
