Hi All
Just thought I'd post a note here to invite any DIR divers based in the GTA or broader southern Ontario to drop me a line.
I'm looking for DIR buddies at more or less my current level to dive and train with. I'd also be pleased to dive with more advanced DIR divers who have the patience to dive with someone who is not quite there yet.
No insult intended to non DIR divers. I enjoy diving with all divers (irrespective of their certification and dive philosophy) :) , but for this post, I'm seeking out DIR buddies.
I've only have about 70 dives under my belt. I did a DIRF course with Dan Mackay of Northern Tech Diver 2 seasons ago and about 30 DIR dives since. I have been diving dry for two seasons and diving doubles (104's) for 1. As you can see, I'm just not getting in enough diving. Finding afew more DIR dive buddies will help. FYI, I'm not a young turk (I'm 49, male) but I do get there, slow and steady (a benefit in diving, I suppose)!
I'd like to work on skills and drills, with the eventual goal of successful completion of a Tech 1 program, so that I can spend abit more bottom time visiting my favourite wrecks. :) And alot of recreational "fun dives" as well.
So, if you are interested in doing some DIR diving, drop me a line. And do also think about doing a DIRF course right here in Toronto, as per my prior post.
Regards
Julian
