Any divers out there know of possible scuba diving in Lake Gaston, NC? I don't care about vis factors..

Man-made lake, so I doubt they promote much diving. Went there for a night in transit and some dude was telling me they do scavenger trash pick-ups and there are a couple divers for hire to perform salvaging jobs, dock maintenance and what not, but I got little info on actual sport diving.

If it's a man-made lake, i'm sure they have underwater structures somewhere.

I'll bet your ass!

I'm sure they do.

Tell me where and I'm there!

havent found anything interesting. no where to get tanks filled any where close. and visability is about 3 feet even in the sun. just enough to read your gauges but not to see your buddy!

gud luck J&A

Done a little boat bottom cleaning for a friend on LG, vis was only a foot or so and the bottom was deep silt....put my arm in up to the elbow and did not find hard surface. I would not bother myself. If you are in the area and looking to dive, the Rolesville quarry is not too far away, better vis and your likely to find buddies if you want them.
