Two trips so far this week to the Oriskany on the H2O Below. Monday's trip was rough but the group was a bunch a hardy divers from the far north and they enjoyed the vis (40 ft) and water temps (66). One guy dove is SHORTS! No wet suit! That is tough!

Tuesday the vis was a little better but the seas were rougher coming back in. Same group of tough guys (less a couple who were too green to go again). All in all a great day.

It seems that the limited traffic this time of year is making the fish sightings better. Lots of larger fish that might be deeper during the summer are up towards the top of the wreck. Makes it fun to see the big guys right around the top of the tower.

Trips today and tomorrow - The season is here!

No lobbies gave up their lives on either trip, but it is just a matter of time.

Thanks for the great time on the H2O Below from all of us at Colt Creek Diving. We had a blast. Funny you mention our bud Gater, he dives anything warmer than about 45F in shorts and a dress shirt, that shirt has more dives than most people on the boat.

We had two really good technical dives including the second day down the escalator and into the hangers. Vis was very much like at home in the St. Lawrence with 40' or so and a nice balmy 68F.

I did see one lobster just above the flight control center, but we weren't really there to take lobsters.
