It's coming together. Here's what's happened so far:
I have a member creating a design. The front of the t-shirt will have a simple dive flag on the left chest area, with www.scubaboard.com over it, and if you want (for a small cost) your board name under the flag. On the back will be the design (still under design - but it will include our mascot).
Depending on the number of t-shirts we order, the cost is in the $12-15 range. If you want a t-shirt in a light or neutral colour (white, natural, grey, light yellow, light khaki or stone green), it's one price. If you want a darker colour, because of the extra printing/ink process it's $4 more.
Using the design for the t-shirt, I can get sew-on patches made for a reasonable price.
So here's a couple of questions. How many of you would like an original OFWF t-shirt? How about a sew-on patch?
Once the design is finalized, I'll be asking for specifics for ordering the t-shirts (eg colour, size, number of), but for now stay tuned to this thread for info.
My thanks to all who have helped out in this process, your ideas, input (and holding back the laughter at my crude attempts for designing something) has been appreciated beyond measure.

I still think this could be a direct means of supporting the wonderful folks that foot the bill for this board's server, etc. Why not add $5/shirt for them?

Many of you have asked about colours. Sorry for the delay, but I wanted to get you visuals rather than have me try to describe the colours.
Please note, right now it's not a 100% guarantee that we can choose from all colours, but at least you'll have an idea of what they might be.
Remember the lights will be one price, and include natural, white, Ash, Athletic Heather, Khaki, Light Blue, Classic Pink, Stone, Yellow, Tan, Heather, Timber, Green Heather, Banana, Kiwi, Cornflower, Orange Poppy, Sagestone and Azalea.
The darks will be $4 more due to the printing process that must occur (sort of doing a base coat in a neutral first so the colours will show), and these colours include: Black, Burgundy, Denim, Forest Green, Gold, Jade, Kelly, Navy, OD Green, Orange,
Purple, Raspberry, Red, Royal, Turquoise, Black Heather, Woodrose Heather, T.Blue, Heather and Pacific Blue.

The actual cost of the t-shirts depend on the size of order that we place. It's a case of -- the more we order the less expensive it will be.
It's coming together, and I am hoping to have the design available for preview this week.

The t-shirts are: Gildan #2000 10.1 ounce, Ultra Cotton T-Shirt pre shrunk, double needle top stitched neckline, double stitched sleeve and waist hems, taped neck and shoulders, seamless collar -- so they're very good quality. (The colour selection link can be found in the first post of this thread).
The cost looks like it will be approximately $20 per... I know I'm still saying approximately. It seems my account was transfered from one account manager to another while I was on vacation, and there is some confusion for the exact breakdown. Right now, it appears to be $18, plus taxes and shipping (to the store) $4 for a total of $22. I'll be checking with them tomorrow, and post an exact value NLT Thursday, June 26th 5pm EST. ((I did try to keep the cost down as low as possible, yet give everyone a wide selection of colours))
Putting on your boardname will be a bit more, and if I have to mail it to you (rather than deliver it at the BBQ -- or at another dive location) will also add on to the cost.
I've got the price right -- Total without the name or shipping will be $22 per shirt.

OK, here's what is happening....

2) I phoned, and surprise.... no shirts.
What a surprise!!!! Apparently some mix-up with the screen printing arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrg
The contact was away today (will be back on Monday), but I'm off diving with a special friend until mid-week(that's another story too....) so it will be telephone tag to sort this out.
As of this moment, I'm pulling my hair to make sure they are ready for next Saturday. I'll try to have an update before then, but you know cell phones don't work well underwater. Plus, I'll not have access to a computer, so an update might get posted by another member.
The result of this delay will mean -- no personalization of the shirts for the BBQ, I just won't have the time. But, as I'll bring fabric markers , you'll all be all to do your own personalization!
Sorry about that folks... but as they say That's Murphy's Law....

I believe that we were unable to get the names screened onto the arms as that would have created a lot more work for the company doing and time simply ran out.
However, I am looking forward to everyone autographing one of my shirts. Will put it right next to my stones shirt for last years concert and the shirt I'm getting from the July 30th concert.
One another note,found out today that I have family coming from Edmonton on Friday. I am doing my best to adjust my schedule to be able to dive with everyone. Hoping to pawn them off on my aunt and uncle for the day atleast. Guess it is just one of those little pot-holes in the road of life. Got love surprise visits!

Yup, have someone working on design #2.
If there is interest in getting design #1 (the original) let me know, as the design is done and is being held by the t-shirt guys it's a doable thing if we have enough interest -- I'm not sure what the minimal order would be, but I'll check.
