Just out of curiosity . . . Since you have taken Fundies, what are you looking to get out of this class that you don't already have?

Just out of curiosity . . . Since you have taken Fundies, what are you looking to get out of this class that you don't already have?Though there are some extras that weren't included in my 2005 Fundamentals class such as stage handling, the main reason is to accompany El Zee. :)

I'll probably also retake Rescue Diver with her next year. I did mine in spring 2004 but haven't kept up-to-date.

@ El Orans: Are you learning tech? You never dive deep, only at 10 meters! :)

(I also believe that they should be taught in regular dive education but that's another topic.)

I agree completely!! Gas management and dive planning are just two examples. Cave training taught me so much about both. I am not sure that they were stressed enough in my OW class way back when, but I inject it into the classes I teach. There are many more examples of concepts that are common taught in technical classes that I think should be introduced into OW classes. Hopefully this will change.
