Hey all;

I heard that good 'ol Clive Cussler, NUMA and some boffins from Nova Scotia have located the Mary Celiste. (For the history challanged - that's the ghost ship that was found off the Azores in 1872, intact but with no crew or passengers) For the story, check out http://www.numa.net

It seems she was sunk in an insurance scam on Rochelais Reef near Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

Does anyone have any information as to her condition or "recreational" divability?

Thanks....

Hi mate

Sadly she is well and truely broken up. On looking at where she went down you can't actually discern her from the rest of the surrounding reef and from the looks of things subsequent storms have taken their toll.

They are starting to find artifacts, but as she was stripped before sinking they don't anticipate finding a great deal. I think the deal is that they have found her and the mystery of where she went down is a mystery no longer. What happened to her passengers and crew all those years before is another story.....one that will never be answered.
