Unfortunately its CDWS so has absolutely nothing at all to do with diving standards or diving safety and everything to do with politics and who pays who the right amount of backsheesh.

More accuately its a list of people they dont like as opposed to anything else. Its also wrong - at least 2 of the centres on there are fully licenced and open.

When the Hurghada audit is finished centres there that havent paid the right amount of cash will also be listed (and several dangerous centres that have paid it will be allowed to operate) just the same as around here.

Hopefully removal of the government minister whos idea this was (and who is benefitting financially from it)! Incidentally picked up some CDWS cards for other people today. 2 of them have the wrong dive centre name on them and a third has it spelt incorrectly. Still, nice new cars the execs have !

Looked at their website, the closed list contains 2 centres that are actually open and the approved list has missed out at least 4 centres i know of that are cleared 2009 members for the Dahab area.

Im struggling to hide my contempt for them.
