Boat Trip to Lake Keowee (SC) Old Shallowford Bridge May 24, 2009 at 2:00 PM
We will be taking a boat trip to the Old Shallowford Bridge on May 24, 2009. This is the intact full steel truss bridge that was left underwater when the lake was made. Depths will reach 95 feet for those who wish to explore the river channel under the bridge. Please sign-up at the store! The cost of the trip is $25.00/person equipment and air fills are extra. This a great place to dive and gives you a chance to get back in the water before summer arrives! If you have any questions please call the store at: 864-653-3483 or email us at: fundiving@upstatescuba.com

Trip report for May 24th, 2009 dive. We had a great group of diver's with us that came despite the rain. The visibility was good at about 25 ft which is great for Lake Keowee. Saw some monster catfish, and found some new tools (sledge hammers, bolts, etc) on the bottom. Water temp at 94 feet was 64 degrees so hopefully by next month it will be warmer.
