If you're in the Pensacola area, MBT Divers is having a free party otherwise known as a spearfishing seminar. When I tell my wife I'm going to a "seminar" instead of a party, it seems to work better. 
Unfortunately it is BYOB:depressed: More than 80 local divers showed up last time. Dalton Kennedy, one of our local charter boat captains and avid spearfisherman, is conducting a free spearfishing class, and there'll be plenty of people around to talk spearfishing and trade lies with -- not that spearos ever lie.
If you're looking for some gear, MBT has discounted everything in their store 20 to 50 percent off including guns. I was in there today and they have several Riffes and a few AB Billers in stock, so get there early if you want one of those. They'll go fast. I'm not sure, but I think they will order you something if you want it at the sale price. Should be a fun night. Would be great to meet some Scuba Board regulars.
