What should I have in mine? Anywhere I can buy one that's already (mostly) complete? I know obviously it should have O-rings (what size is most common on AL80 tanks?), an extra mouthpiece, etc...

I suggest the following, and am interested in what others add (or subtract!):

spare mask strap
spare mask (I dive with a spare mask)
allen wrenches
pliers (I like a decent quality multitool like a leatherman)
wrench
length of cave line
length of bungee
o-rings
OPV spring (I have broken two -- grrr)
large wrench (I have had friends who REALLY tightened their 1st stage onto the tank valve and
needed a wrench to get it off)
zip ties
batteries for dive light(s)
lighter
headlamp (for gearing up at night, or cleaning up at night after a dive)
spare drysuit seal lube/zipper wax/mask defog

Zip ties.
Mask strap.
Fin strap. I use spring straps now so I took that out.
Tank valve o rings.
O ring too. Helpful.
Hose o rings.

I have the following.
Zip Ties (scuba duck tape) :D
Spare Mask Strap
Spare Fin Strap
Spare Snorkel Keeper - won't really save a dive but nice to have
Divers Multi-Tool
O-Ring Assortment - Nitrox Compatible
Spare Batteries for lights

Save a dive kit.

Fin straps
Duck tape - works wonders on dive gear.
Knife
cuttters
Pliers
Assortment of allen keys
Wrenches(two)
Zip ties
Mask strap
Spare mask
First aid kit
spare hoses
Flash light
Batteries
Money
Bungie cord
Cave line
Assortment of O-rings
A screw driver
Dental pick to remove Orings
Baldder patch kit
Neopean patches and glue
Silicon lub
Aqua seal
Defog
Bug spray
Sunscreen
Condoms ( incase you get lucky.. )
- Seriously spare Catheters for the PEE valve for your drysuit - if you have one.
extra fins

All this to say is accumulated over time and from various diving conditions. I have streamlined a smaller case for travel where I cannot bring the big box.

Lots of places sell some sort of kit and Oring kits are very common also but usually these pre-made kits are very nonspecific to the brands or types of gear you dive. For example it doesn't make sense to buy a kit with generic fin straps when you have scubapro fins.

any of the online stores sell Oring sets, if you not using nitro or oxygen then you dont need to buy viton (more expensive). Leisurepro, Scubatoys, Dive Right In Scuba, Cave Adventurers, Dvie Rite Express, Scuba.com, North East Scuba Supply, etc, etc, etc

I built my own kit using the Akona camera bag and some fishing tackle organizers and ziplock bags.

I carry:

1- 3/8" drive socket wrench with 38 piece socket set
2- 6inch adjustable wrenches
1- 8inch adjustable wrench
1- 10inch adjustable wrench
2- 6inch pliers
1- 6inch needle nose pliers
1- 6inch side cutting pliers
1- 6inch philips driver
1- 6inch flat head driver
1- 6inch 1/4inch nut driver
1- 6inch 5/16inch nut driver
1- 15piece allen key set (english not metric, though I intend to get metric too)
1- 110 piece bit set (includes security bits, nut driver heads, hex drivers, etc)
1- 6inch disposable and retractable razor knife
1- splicing fid
1- 7inch set of scissors (quality and very sharp sewing style that can cut 2 inch webbing easy)
1- ordinary bic lighter
1- spool of 50ft of #24 cave line for tying on bolt snaps or making gear repairs
2- medium bolt snaps
1- double ended bolt snap
10ft each of 1/6", 1/8", 3/16", 1/4", and 5/16" black bungee cord
10ft each of 7/16 (or maybe its 3/8) hollow poly line and black 550 parachute cord
viton and nitrile O-ring kits from reef scuba
IP gauge with adapters for all major bc connectors for scubatools
1- tire inflator for use on bcd hose
2- pro valve inserts
1 each or omniswivel hp and lp fist stage swivels and a few other misc omniswivel adapters
6- each hp and lp port plugs
spare bolts and wing nuts and washers for double tanks or STA
1- black permanent marker
1- air nozzle (blow gun)
1- bc dump valve removal tool (generic)
1- bc dump valve removal tool (scubapro)
1- spare battery for dive computer/bottom timer
1- spare mask strap
1- bcd patch kit with aquaseal
75- black 8inch zip ties
1- mini roll of duct tape
1- dental pick
1- dental mirror

That covers my normal "kit" and I took it with me to mexico last year too so its not as big or heavy as it sounds like. If I am traveling more than a few miles from home to dive (I live in minnesota where we have more lakes then people) then I sometimes add backup lights, batteries, or even spare hoses to the bag.

I carry a separate small bag for drysuit accessories including spare dry gloves, liners, wet gloves, O-rings, rc car fuel line, zipper wax, soapy water in travel size spray bottle, and a patch kit for the fusion suit.

eventually I will have a gas booster kit and hoses and adapters for it with me on most travel dives also or at minimum a transfill whip.

Hope that helps
