A DM had a great map of a dive site the other day. When asked how it got so accurate, he said he used a satellite picture to get the shape perfect. Does anyone know how to get to that satellite pictire stuff and how to get the info necessary to d/l that?

Tanks!

The only site that I know of is Terraserver. There may be others; this one used to be free, but it looks like they have done away with that and now charge a nominal fee. Pretty cool to see things from above.

Hey Hobster.... I've been racking my brains and doing all sorts of searches for you and the one I found that seems to be closest to what you're looking for could be the NOAA Website

(Sorry, Ladydiver & your Majesty, I looked in the directory itself and there don't seem to be any links for satellite pictures :( Trying to be a good little regulator here!)

Hope it helps.

Hey all,

Go to http://www.mapquest.com and type in the locale. You can use a zip code, address, or what ever... then click on the aerial view. You can even type in your address to get an aerial view of your house... just as a pigeon sees it. Look really close, and you can see where they have been practicing them thar bombing runs, if you knowhatimean, Chester... Too cool! :all:
