Hi,

What do you recommend for the first year maintenance of your equipment (regulator, bc, tanks)? I'm still pretty new and I bought all my equipment last July and the season is starting again out here where I live so I'm wondering what I should do.

The manuals for my regulator and bc got wet and all the pages are stuck together so I can't refer to it.

As seasoned scuba divers, I was hoping you all can help me quickly answer my questions.

Thanks!

No idea about you specific manufacturer recommendations.

I would get my regs refurbed.

The tanks need a vis.

Wouldn't hurt to look at the BC dump valves for proper operation.

Check the BC for leaks.

Look at the various straps for your fins, mask, etc for signs of wear and replace if necessary.

That should do it.

Other than the tanks and regs, it is pretty much what you do before any given dive. Perhaps a bit more thorough.

Annual service on the regs. Even if you did not dive that often it's best to at least have them looked at. Your tanks will need a visual inspection
