Can someone please post current ferry schedule from PDC? I know they used to go every hour but are they running on a different schedule since the flu fears started (I read that somewhere)? We are traveling to Cozumel through Cancun later this week and trying to get our timing straight. Thanks.

PS I am aware of these (http://www.cozumel.net/1maps/ultramar.htm)posted schedules, just trying to confirm they are current...

Even if you get a ferry schedule, it could change at the last minute. Your flight time is set, but you could be delayed. I'd say rather than obsessing about keeping a tight schedule, just get to Playa as quickly as you can, and be prepared to wait at Senor Frog's staring out over the water with a frosty adult beverage in hand, thinking about how much worse a place you could be than sitting in Paradise waiting for the ferry. There's nothing you can do about the plane and ferry times, anyway.

The last time I went in through Cancun, we got to Playa just in time to see the ferry pulling out. Oh, well... Senor, a cold Leon Negra, por favor... Heavy sigh...

Don't count on that. There are 2 companies running but they seem to always run at the same time instead of staggering. In March both did not run a 2 or 3pm boat but The Mexican Jet boat ran at 4 while Ultra waited till 5. If you have to wait enjoy the beach and a beer. Relax --your on vacation.

Excellent advice, obcessing and stressing over anything in Mexico that runs on "schedule" will lead to frustration.

The schedule is erratic as others have stated. Jsut get there and hopefully you won't have to wait for the next hour. I PREFER the UltraMar (yellow) boats - but if the schedule is a factor, I'll go on the Mexico line (blue and white) boats.

DO NOT ever buy a round trip ferry ticket! Just arrive 10 minutes before the ferry leaves and buy your ticket for whichever one is departing.
A. It won't save you any money at all
B. You'll be stuck with that ferry lines schedule - which could mean having to leave an hour earlier or later than you want to.

I was there 2 weeks ago and the ferries seemed to be running every 2 hours. In fact, I ended up missing my flight (my fault) because I figured I would take the later ferry. I was going to take the 10am one but there was only a 9am (which I had missed) and an 11am one.

Like everyone else said, I would be cautious and get to PDC as early as possible.

The current schedule is posted here (http://www.mexicowaterjets.com/eng/servicios.php?id=HR)

Now .... how to use it... This is the Mexico ferry schedule. When you take both the orange and blue sides together, that is the full schedule for all runs by both Mexico and Ultramar ferries during the scheduled period. (In this case, for the month of May.) As you can see, the two companies alternate by run time and by day.

Only the current schedule is posted on the website, so the June one won't appear until June 1. You can also pick up a printed schedule at the ticket office in the ferry terminal.

Just got back. The ferry is running every two hours (odd hours depart Cozumel; even hours depart PDC).

I assume they will go back to every hour once the tourist activity picks up.

You can look at the schedule, but those are the maximum number of trips they might make, often less. As Robin mentioned in another thread, sometimes they use the ferry boats to transport pod people, and the cruise boats are returning. You might get the phone numbers off of the link and call the morning of your planned crossing, and maybe get good info? Well, one of them is 52 (987)8793112. Don't know about the other.
