Southern Ontario Diving

I'm originally from the booming metropolis of Port Colbourne, Ontario. I have been in Adelaide, Australia for the past year and now call it home. I am coming back to Canada for the month of July and hope to do a fair bit of diving. What I need is advice, locations, and perhaps a dive buddy or two. I am currantly a PADI divemaster who has logged over 100 dives in the last 8 months. I am interested in Lake Erie wrecks, Sherkston Quarry, Chippawa river, and the Niagara River. Any help would be greatly appreciated. One other thing, I have a 5/3mm semi dry suit. Will that be sufficient for Lake Erie in July. I currantly have no trouble diving for 60 minutes in 14 degree water with it. Hope to here from you all soon.

I hope you get enough diving in for july sounds like you are busy diving alot. What kind of diving are you interested in??? and how available are you for diving??? Are you only down in this area for the month of July or longer??:D

I really am into any type of diving. I will be in the area for the month of July and then have to head back to the Australian winter (I still can't believe they call it a winter). Is there any good diving up near London. When I was a kid we used to go and party in Grand Bend. My availability for diving is wide. I just want to experience as much as I can while I am there.

If you are going to be around Grand Bend there is one nice wreck there, the Wexford. It is a steel freighter that went down in the big storm of November 1913. it is about 270 ft and sitting upright in about 85 ft of water. There is one 6 pack that charters out of Grand Bend Saturdays and Sundays. Two tanks in the morning and afternoon.
Any of the dive shops in London can get you in touch with the operator. Also some private boats go out to it.

I would really recomend spending some time in the Kingston/Brockville area. Tons of nice wrecks up there and warm water also. By July it should be about 17 C on the surface and there are no thermoclines in the river. To dive Kingston it will be colder at depth and you might want to rent a 7 mil.
