I'm looking for a new wrist computer and have seen some good deals on the Dive Rite Nitek Plus. Does anyone know if this unit is manufactured by Seiko and do you have any observations regarding this model? Thanks.

I heard at one time, but can't recall. The one thing I have noticed about it is that the screen is rather small. For those whose eyes aren't what they used to be, it may make things difficult. It is set up to be compact to be used also as a watch. I have it's bigger brother the Duo. The Duo's screen in larger & a bit easier to read. Both computers are the same in features, except for the Plus is the smaller to also be used as a wrist watch. I love my Duo & it's features . It is relatively easy to use for a technical style computer. The only minus (to some) to it is that it is that it is a bit on the conservative side with decompression models. Spd 135 June 8th, 2009, 09:47 AM I have 2 plus' and 1 duo. I am no youngster, but not too old either, and can see the screen ok in the water. I bought the duo thinking it would be better, but the plus was not really a problem in the water. I prefer the plus, I can actually see it better, as the cover on the duo partially obscures the color graph. The decompression setting can be changed, but I prefer conservative. I don't mind a few extra minutes. I have had my first plus for about 2 years and when the price dropped I bought another. FWIW it is a solid computer for deco or no deco, easy to use, and a convenient size.
