As a new diver and new to ScubaBoard, and long-time armchair explorer (my wife and I just retired, and just got certified!), I thought I should share the following link to a pretty good video on marine science and filming underwater by Scripps Institute. They have a video series on marine science.
YouTube - Adventures in Oceanography (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ENtNt-kb3o)
It is a lecture with some great, exciting pictures from around the world underwater, even from the north and south pole. It's kind of long, but fascinating. As a new diver I hope to see some of these places before they are gone.
