Does anyone still dive the the 869? Is there any interest to do so anymore?

I hope so, I'm in the US in Sept to the SubVetsWW2 conference in Wisconsin and fancied a dive after, I think Dan and Independence 11 are going there regularly

We still on Dan? Got a dry suit I'm practising in right now, look a right dick in 30 degrees C.

First time in cold water, can't wait

I would love to do a dive like that. For me it would simply be a touch dive. I have no need to go in.

While I was reading Shadow Divers, the Mrs and I had a German Foreign exchange student. She read the book as well. We had many conversations about WWII. My Dad was in Europe during the War. Fun to get the other side's view.

I have heard that the wreck has deteriorated pretty badly over the past few years?
